Description
A residential house developed serious leaks due to improper substrate preparation prior to the installation of cement roof tiles. Inadequate waterproofing allowed water to infiltrate, causing structural problems and water damage.

 


Scope Of Work

🔹 Removal of Existing Cement Tiles – Removed the tiles to expose the casted concrete substrate.
🔹 Substrate Preparation & Repair – Identified and repaired cracks and imperfections on the concrete surface.
🔹 Cleaning & Surface Treatment – Thoroughly cleaned the area to ensure proper adhesion of waterproofing materials.
🔹 Waterproofing Application – Applied Mapelastic Smart, reinforced with Mapenet, to create a flexible, durable waterproof barrier.
🔹 Flood Test – Conducted a water-tightness test to verify the effectiveness of the waterproofing system.
🔹 Screed Installation – Laid a 25mm thick screed with a proper slope to ensure efficient water drainage.
🔹 Final Roof Installation – Installed clay roof tiles, providing an aesthetically pleasing and weather-resistant finish.
